Insecticides play an important role in public health. These products can be either natural or chemical-based and with the residual or non-residual mode of action.
Non-residual insecticides do not possess a lasting effect and are unstable in light and air.
On the other hand, residual insecticides are stable organic compounds, and they remain effective for some time, usually several weeks or months when applied to the surface.
Depending on the nature of the problem there are various types of insecticides that can be used to solve pest problems.
Effect Ultimum PRO is an effective non-systemic insecticide with contact and stomach action for control of crawling and flying insects.
The product has:
- a strong “knock-down” effect,
- a residual effect,
- long-lasting and prolonged action,
- no odor,
- leaves no stains and
- is resistant to light and other external factors.
Effect Ultimum PRO consists of a combination of three different active ingredients: permethrin 6%, tetramethrin 0.9%, and piperonyl butoxide (PBO) 18%.
The active substance permethrin is a broad-spectrum synthetic pyrethroid with contact and stomach action which provides rapid kill of the target insect and due to its photostability also provides good residual control.
In addition, active substance tetramethrin ensures us quick knockdown effect of the insects.
The addition of the PBO, which acts as an insecticide synergist by inhibiting the natural defense mechanisms of the insect, enhances the speed of knockdown and synergizes the killing effect. Due to its mode of action PBO also acts as a “resistance breaker” and should therefore be considered towards the direction of resistance management.
Effect Ultimum PRO is formulated as EC/UL product that allows dilution with water.
- When used as an ULV space treatment it provides cost-effective control of flying insects including flies, mosquitoes, and moths.
- The product can also be diluted with water and applied as a residual treatment using a compression sprayer for the control of crawling insects such as cockroaches, ants, and bed bugs, or flying insects that are resting on the surface.
The product Effect Ultimum PRO can be used in domestic and public buildings, food handling facilities, means of conveyance, and agricultural buildings.
The technology of the products ensures long-lasting and prolonged protection for up to 6 weeks after applying the product to the surface and is also effective against insects that are resistant to synthetic pyrethroids.
